Toyota’s luxury vehicle division brand Lexus has been announced as the Official Principal Partner and Car Partner of the upcoming Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals 2022.

As the tournament’s Official Car, Lexus will take care of the transportation of the teams and players from the 16 nations to the tennis village. Lexus’ RX Performance Hybrid, NX Plug-In Hybrid, Battery-Electric RZ, and UX Self-Charging Hybrid will all feature at the tournament with the Lexus RX scheduled to be used in Spain and Italy, while the Lexus RZ will be used in Germany and the United Kingdom.

Commenting on the deal, Pascal Ruch, Vice President, Lexus Europe, commented:

The Davis Cup is one of the most iconic sporting competitions in the world, with a unique format across multiple European cities. Sport, and in particular tennis, is an opportunity to bring together top athletes and fans under one roof – many of whom are seeking luxury that is personal to them and their passions. Lexus as a brand shares this affinity for incredible dedication to craft, unparalleled luxury and unmissable experiences.

David Ferrer, Director of the Davis Cup Finals, added:

It is a great luxury to be able to count on Lexus again for the third edition of the Finals. This year’s event is being staged in a multi-site format in four countries, and Lexus is demonstrating its enormous capacity for management, service and professionalism. We are confident that, as in the past, the world’s best players and teams will be delighted with the performance Lexus will provide at the competition.

The Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals 2022 will take place from September 13 to November 27, 2022, across various European cities. The group stages will be held in Bologna, Glasgow, Hamburg, and Valencia, from September 13 to September 18, while the knockout games will be held in Málaga between November 22 to November 27.
