De Bruyne expands partnership with Therabody

Belgium midfielder announced as company’s latest athlete

Wellness therapy brand Therabody has announced Manchester City and Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne as their newest athlete. De Bruyne, who had previously invested in the company, back in February 2021, has now expanded his partnership with the brand.

The partnership will see De Bruyne work together with Therabody, utilise the ‘Theragun’ percussive therapy before and after training sessions in an attempt to speed up his recovery process throughout the season.

De Bruyne had earlier become a partner of the firm, investing in it back in February. Along with De Bruyne’s partnership, Manchester City had also partnered with Therabody, which saw the Premier League champions use the products throughout the season as they attempted to accelerate and optimise the warm-up and recovery strategies.

Apart from De Bruyne, a host of footballers and football clubs have also partnered with the firm, some of whom are – Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Wilfried Zaha, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain amongst others.

With offices around the world in London, Dublin, Shanghai, the California headquartered firm will hope to use the brand visibility of their ambassadors and partners to gain international presence.
