India’s favorite Mahendra Singh Dhoni has replaced Irrfan Khan as the brand ambassador of the Global financial company, Mastercard. It looks like Mastercard had to make this switch due to the health conditions of Irrfan who is currently taking treatment to fight the Neuroendocrine tumor.
With Dhoni as the main face, Mastercard is further looking to expand its debit and credit cards usage in India. Relying on Dhoni’s massive popularity, the brand is focusing majorly on Tier II and Tier III cities of the country.
On the digital front, Mastercard has already launched a campaign #DhoniWithMastercard under the umbrella of #TeamCashlessIndia. On the other mediums, however, it hasn’t yet launched a marketing activity.
