DreamHack Festivals has announced that the DreamHack Winter tournament will take place from November 24 to November 27, 2022, at the Elmia Congress Centre in Jönköping, Sweden. The tournament will see the finest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players in the women’s circuit compete against each other for the DreamHack silverware.
Chrostoffer Melin, Director of DreamHack Festivals, said:
“It’s always exciting to bring DreamHack back home to where it all started in Sweden. he DreamHack experience truly has no equal and is open for all, regardless if you want to bring your own computer or not. We can’t wait to once again share this experience with our Nordic community.“
Charlie Sirc, ESL Impact Product Manager at ESL FACEIT Group, added:
“We’re proud to bring ESL Impact, which is a part of our GGFORALL program, to Sweden and DreamHack Winter this year.
“We truly believe that ‘it’s not Good Game until it’s Good Game for all’ focuses on pushing the boundaries to ultimately make gaming and esports an inclusive, respectful and all-empowering space. To watch the tremendously talented women competing in ESL Impact will be an amazing experience for all attending DreamHack Winter.“
DreamHack has also announced that DreamHack Winter 2022 will be hosting the ESL Impact Season 2 Global Finals, which is an all-women CS:GO circuit that was launched earlier this year. The event was launched with the #GGFORALL programme, which is aimed at providing a boost for the women’s circuit along with providing the upcoming women players a platform to showcase their skills.
The ESL Impact Season 2 Global Finals will have a total prize pool of US$123,000.
