Formula One inks deal with DAZN Japan

Formula One has announced a multi-year partnership with DAZN Japan. The partnership will see DAZN broadcast Formula One in Japan till 2025.

The partnership will kick off with the upcoming 2023 season, with DAZN Japan set to broadcast the entire 23-race calendar, including the Practice and Qualifying Sessions.

DAZN Japan will also broadcast the pre-season testing in Bahrain and the Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships in the region, with Japanese driver Ayumu Iwasa set to take part in F2.

Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation at Formula One, commented:

Japan is a historic market for Formula 1 with some of the most passionate fans in the world, and we are delighted to announce this partnership with DAZN for them to continue to broadcast Formula 1 for the next three years. As Formula 1 continues to grow and attract new fans in Asia and around the world, it is vital that the broadcasting of our events is of the highest standard. Over the next three seasons, we look forward to working with DAZN to ensure our fans continue to enjoy the spectacle and entertainment of Formula 1.
