Following are the organisations serving as sponsors and brand partners to Big Bash League (BBL) franchise Hobart Hurricanes and enjoying a strong branding presence across the physical and digital assets of their women’s and/or men’s teams, who are participating in the Weber Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and the KFC Big Bash League, respectively, during the 2023/24 season of the Big Bash. 

RedZed

In November 2021, the Hurricanes signed a partnership with Melbourne-based Australian moneylender RedZed. 

The initial two-year partnership saw RedZed serve as a Principal Partner to the Hurricanes men’s team and as an Official Partner to their women’s team. The partnership put the RedZed logo on the front and back of the Hurricanes playing kit and also on their training and travel kits and inside their teams’ home grounds on matchdays.

It was announced in June 2023 that the two parties had decided to extend their partnership until 2025.

Tasmanian

Tasmanian, the online portal to gather information about everything happening in the area from visits, investments, projects and more, came on board as a Principal Partner of the Hurricanes for the 2023/24 season of the Big Bash.

As part of the deal, the Tasmanian logo appears front and centre of the Hurricanes women’s team’s matchday shirt.

Cadbury

Iconic British chocolates and confectionery brand Cadbury has been an Official Major Partner of the Hurricanes since July 2018. The partnership was renewed for a further two years in December 2021.

As a Major Partner, Cadbury has its logo featured on the front of the Hurricanes men’s and women’s teams’ jerseys. Cadbury and the Hurricanes also collaborate on a host of other matchday activities, such as the “CADBURY A Catch & a Half” competition, which sees Cadbury make AU$500 donations to the Hurricanes to support local cricket clubs for every catch taken by a Hurricanes player resulting in a wicket during the Big Bash season. 

Blundstone

The Moonah, Tasmania-headquartered Australian footwear brand also serves as an Official Major Partner to the Hurricanes. Blundstone holds the naming rights to the home ground of the Hurricanes men’s team, which is thusly called the Blundstone Arena (otherwise known as Bellerive Oval).

James Boag’s

James Boag’s, a Tasmanian beer from Boag’s Brewery that was first released in 1994, has been listed as a Major Partner of the Hobart Hurricanes on their website for 2023/24 season of the Big Bash.

Solo

The Australian lemon-flavoured carbonated soft drink brand, manufactured under a license by Asahi Breweries, has been listed as an Official Partner of the Hobart Hurricanes on their website for 2023/24 season of the Big Bash.

University of Tasmania

The Tasmania-based Australian public research university is also an Official Partner of the Hurricanes. Its sports ground York Park, alternatively known as the University of Tasmania Stadium, serves as the second home to the franchise’s men’s and women’s teams throughout their respective Big Bash campaigns.

Wilson Homes

Tasmanian home builder Wilson Homes became a community partner of the Hurricanes in December 2020.

As per the deal, Wilson Homes supports grassroots cricket through national- and state-level competitions. 

Wilson Security

Private security firm Wilson Security has been the Official Headwear Partner of the men’s and women’s teams of the Hurricanes since 2015.

The partnership was renewed following a long-term agreement in October 2020, and then again in December 2021. Most recently, the agreement was extended in May 2023 for one more year.

The partnership puts the Wilson Security branding on the Hurricanes playing and training headwear.

Masuri

The Winchester, Hampshire-headquartered British protective cricketing equipment manufacturer also serves as an Official Partner to the Hobart Hurricanes.

Cool Ridge

Cool Ridge, a spring water brand offering products made from Australian spring water and available in plain still, flavoured still, plain and flavoured lightly sparkling variants and owned by Asahi Breweries, is listed as an Official Partner of the Hurricanes on their website for the 2023/24 season of the Big Bash.

Speak Up! Stay ChatTY

Speak Up! Stay ChatTY is a non-profit organisation that work towards promoting positive mental health and reducing suicide rates by normalising conversations in the space of mental health. It is also listed as an Official Partner of the Hurricanes on their website for the 2023/24 season of the Big Bash.

The Mercury

A daily newspaper published in Hobart by Davies Brothers Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of News Corp Australia, The Mercury is also listed as an Official Partner of the Hurricanes on their website for the 2023/24 season of the Big Bash.

JMC

Based in southern Tasmania, Volkswagen Passenger and Audi vehicles dealership JMC has been listed as an Official Sponsor of the Hobart Hurricanes on their website for the 2023/24 season of the Big Bash..

Australia’s largest generator of clean, renewable energy and water manager Hydro Tasmania signed on as a partner of the Hurricanes in October 2021. 

Hydro Tasmania currently serves as the Official Coaches Partner of the Hurricanes’ BBL and WBBL teams, with the Hydro Tasmania logo present on the BBL team’s playing kit and on the coaching uniforms as well.

The Tasmania-based Australian public research university also serves as an Official Partner to the Hurricanes. Its sports ground York Park, alternatively known as the University of Tasmania Stadium, serves as the second home to the franchise’s BBL and WBBL teams throughout their respective campaigns.

Flying Colours Group

Printing and stationery company Flying Colours Group has been an Official Partner of the Hobart Hurricanes since June 2021. The firm signed a three-year partnership agreement with Cricket Tasmania and the Hurricanes. 

Kookaburra

The Melbourne-headquartered Australian sports equipment manufacturer is the official supplier of cricket balls to the Hurricanes, apart from being the official match ball supplier to the BBL. Hurricanes-themed cricket bats can also be purchased from Kookaburra’s online store.

Masuri

The Winchester, Hampshire-headquartered British protective cricketing equipment manufacturer also serves as an Official Partner to the Hobart Hurricanes.

Southern Cross Austereo

The Melbourne, Victoria-headquartered Australian media company also serves as an Official Partner to the Hobart Hurricanes.

The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel

The Macquarie Street, Hobart-located four-star hotel is an Official Partner of the Hobart Hurricanes and their accommodation provider of choice.
