Match 14 of the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will see the defending champions, Australia, face Pakistan.
Australia will be looking to win their third game in a row and book their ticket to the semi-finals, while Pakistan will be looking to bounce back from the defeat against India.
The Australian juggernaut has been rolling with ease so far, destroying every team on its way. In their last match, Australia beat trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand comprehensively to make it two wins out of two.
The Australian batting and bowling have looked impeccable so far, with Beth Mooney and Megan Schutt in incredible form. It will take a mighty effort to defeat this talented and experienced Aussie side.
Pakistan, on the other hand, have blown hot and cold. While they upset Sri Lanka in their opening encounter, they couldn’t manage to beat arch-rivals India. Their batting has been a major concern in both the games, though their bowling has been decent. Hence, their only chance to beat Australia lies in batting first, managing a decent score, and then piling on pressure with the ball.
However, based on the form and quality of the two sides, this is likely to be a one-sided encounter which Australia should win easily.
Beth Mooney, Alyssa Healy (c & wk), Annabel Sutherland, Grace Harris, Ellyse Perry, Ashleigh Gardner, Fatima Sana, Megan Schutt, Sophie Molineux, Nashra Sandhu, Tahlia McGrath
Venue: Dubai
Winners Prediction: Australia
