IPL 2025 | Match: 10 DC vs SRH | Preview and Predictions

Match 10 of the 2025 Indian Premier League season brings us a match-up between the Delhi Capitals and the SunRisers Hyderabad at the ACA-VDCA International Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 30.

For the game, here are our preview and predictions.

Indian Premier League 2025 | Match 10: Delhi Capitals vs SunRisers Hyderabad | 15:30 IST, March 30

The Capitals come into this game having won their opening fixture in a thrilling encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants, whose top-order batters performed admirably to take the DC bowlers to the cleaners, with Mitchell Marsh (72 off 36) and Nicholas Pooran (75 off 30) shining in particular. However, once they departed, the momentum turned in DC’s favour. In the end, LSG managed an above-par 209/8 on a turning pitch, though for most part they looked set for a much higher total. Kuldeep Yadav ended with figures of 2/20, with Aussie veteran Mitchell Starc registering 3/42 with his spell.

In response, DC found themselves reeling at 65/5 after the Powerplay before contributions from Tristan Stubbs (34 off 22), Vipraj Nigam (39 off 15), and Ashutosh Sharma (66* off 31) took them home in a nerve-racking climax with one wicket remaining and three balls to spare. With their first-choice pacers out with long-term injuries, the lack of experience in their bowling lineup cost LSG the match.

The SunRisers, on the other hand, too played LSG in their last outing. Put to bat first, they lost two quick wickets in Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan, but Travis Head (47 off 28) and Nitish Reddy (32 off 28) managed to steady the ship before late surges from Aniket Verma (36 off 13) and captain Pat Cummins (18 off 4 balls) took SRH to a competitive total of 190/9 in their 20 overs. Shardul Thakur was the pick of the LSG bowlers with figures of 4/34—his best-ever IPL performance.

In response, the Super Giants lost an early wicket, but the dangerous duo of Marsh (52 off 31) and Pooran (70 off 26) took the game away from SRH, reaching 120 in 8.4 overs, at which point Marsh departed. Even though a few wickets fell cheaply, Abdul Samad (22 off 8) helped LSG put their first points on the board.

The SRH batting lineup is a fearsome one, with big hitters up and down the order. If they get going against DC, a score of 220+ should be an easy one for them to achieve and a difficult one for the Capitals to chase. Considering their batting prowess, SRH hold the edge over DC for this encounter.

Fantasy XI: Travis Head, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Faf du Plessis, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Axar Patel, Ashutosh Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Pat Cummins (c), Adam Zampa, Mitchell Starc

Venue: ACA-VDCA International Stadium, Visakhapatnam
Winners Prediction: SunRisers Hyderabad
