For the game, here are our preview and predictions.

Indian Premier League 2025 | Match 69: Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings | 19:30 IST, May 26

Both teams have already qualified for the playoffs, but this final league-stage game still holds great importance for both sides, as the winning team will all but confirm their place in the top two of the table.

MI come into this game having won seven of their last eight games, showcasing a stunning turnaround in form after yet another slow start to the season. As their campaign progressed, the five-time IPL champions returned to winning ways, slowly ticking off all the boxes—the three disciplines peaking at the right time as they head into the playoffs.

With the bat, MI have been stellar, with Ryan Rickleton, Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks, and Suryakumar Yadav all among the runs. Hardik Pandya, who started the season brilliantly with the bat, has been short of runs in the last few games, so Mumbai will hope their captain comes into his own with the bat once again.

With the ball, Jasprit Bumrah has been leading from the front for MI, with Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult outstanding with the new ball. Pandya himself has been handy with the ball, although the team haven’t been as strong as they would like to be in the spin department, which is something they need to improve.

On the other hand, a win for the Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings will seal for them a top-two finish following the Gujarat Titans’ loss to the Chennai Super Kings.

Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh have been key for PBKS at the top, with Iyer coming in with quick and impactful runs soon after. Lower-order batting has been a concern for them, though Marcus Stoinis stepped up in the game against the Delhi Capitals; if he keeps it up, in him Iyer and head coach Ricky Ponting will have a solid finisher, especially given his experience and capacity for fireworks.

With the ball, Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen have been the leaders of the Kings pack, though it’s Harpreet Brar’s recent form that will put a smile on Iyer’s face heading into the playoffs. In Brar and Yuzvendra Chahal, the Kings have two impactful slow-bowling options, which will be key in Ahmedabad.

On paper, and given their recent form, there’s little to nothing to differentiate the two sides. The Jaipur ground has brought about plenty of runs this year while offering something to the slower bowlers.

We hand the Mumbai Indians a slight advantage. Hardik Pandya & Co have the extra firepower and should be able to take the win here.

Fantasy XI: Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, Will Jacks, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell Santner, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar

Venue: Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
Winners Prediction: Mumbai Indians
