José Mourinho launches his own wine brand called “The Special One”

Portuguese football coach José Mourinho has launched his own wine brand called “The Special One”.

The 61-year-old has been one of the most successful coaches in European football over the past two decades and is currently the head coach of Fenerbahçe SK’s men’s first team in Türkiye.

The choice of the wine’s name is Mourinho’s iconic moniker that he coined for himself early on in his career.

Mourinho launched his wine brand with a video where he talked about his footballing journey and success, claiming he was never the one to bottle—he made the bottle. His brand has debuted with a red wine from the famous Douro vineyards in the Portugal. The wine arrives with its own special case and label, featuring Mourinho’s iconic UEFA Champions League celebration with Porto in 2004.

“The Special One” is available for pre-order now exclusively on the brand’s website.

During the launch of his new wine, José Mourinho said:

As someone who values precision, quality, and excellence in every endeavor, I am proud to present my very own wine; ‘The Special One’. Handpicked from one of my favourite regions in Portugal, this wine reflects the spirit of my homeland and my relentless desire to enjoy every moment in life. Crafted with passion and care, it is a gift from one special one to another. Whether you’re celebrating a victory or spending time with people you care about, this wine is meant to be shared with someone truly special.
