LaLiga strikes Digital Virgo partnership

Spanish professional football league LaLiga has announced a partnership agreement with Lyon-based mobile payment solutions provider Digital Virgo.

As per the cooperation agreement, the two parties have agreed to work together to develop a mobile-based international platform called “LaLiga Xtra”, via which they will produce interactive content for the league’s fans. The platform’s licensing framework will enable it to distribute said content through licensees in the following regions: Argentina, Brazil, France, Belgium, Portugal and Morocco, as well as select nations in South America, Europe and the Middle East.

With the aid of quizzes, information, and a fantasy football app, this new platform will aim to enhance fan engagement, while offering a 360-degree match experience while watching LaLiga games.
