The agreement will see Extreme Networks install Extreme Wi-Fi 6E access points at Anfield which will help the fans make full use of the mobile ticketing and digital payment transaction features. ExtremeCloud IQ will also provide the stadium staff an opportunity to track and control Wi-Fi productivity, effectiveness, manage devices and also help in gathering real-time analytics insights.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will use ExtremeAnalytics to get valuable information about visitor numbers, digital payments, app usage in Anfield and will also to identify the time period when fans are most engaged digitally during the matches. They will be using all the data to improve and provide more personalised fan experiences.

Drew Crisp, Senior Vice President, Digital Marketing, Liverpool FC, commented:

We are delighted to partner with Extreme to deliver outstanding connectivity and analytics to the stadium. This deal offers supporters the latest generation of wireless connectivity, making the most of our best-in-class digital offering while visiting Anfield. Our stadium has a rich history and Extreme helps us improve the digital fan experience, but also provides the critical insights to continue to innovate and improve the digital journey for our fans.

Norman Rice, Chief Operating Officer, Extreme Networks, added:

Connectivity is the foundation of next-gen mobile services, such as biometrics, interactive stadium apps and on-demand payments in large locations. In a stadium like Anfield with 54,000 fans, Extreme offers next-gen wireless connectivity, giving Liverpool Football Club a wealth of network analytics. This allows them to better understand their supporters, generate new income and improve activities on match days. We are proud to play such a vital role in the continued development of one of the most beloved sports organisations in the world.
