Legends League Cricket has announced its tie-up with Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) as the third franchise owner ahead of the second season of Legends League Cricket.
MEMG is an industry leader in education, healthcare and health insurance. The group has also diversified and established business models to serve the needs of its customers in education, healthcare, health insurance, research and foundation. This includes building world-class hospitals, fostering preventive healthcare processes, and nurturing the best medical faculties through education institutions.
Speaking about the acquisition, Dr. Ranjan Pai, Chairman of the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG), commented:

The upcoming edition of Legends League Cricket is set to have a four-team franchise model. Recently, Legends League Cricket announced that the upcoming season would be dedicated to the 75th-year celebration of Indian independence. It is being held in India from September 16, 2022, onwards. Adani Group and GMR Group have already acquired franchises in the league. Both groups are associated with and are active in various sporting events happening across the globe.
Legends League Cricket will start in Kolkata, at Eden Gardens, followed by Lucknow, New Delhi, Cuttack and Jodhpur. The venues for play-offs and finals are yet to be decided.
