Silver medal-winning Olympian teams up with Mastercard and RBL Bank.
Following her triumphant Olympic run at this year’s 2020 Tokyo Olympics, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has become a magnet for brands all over the nation. The silver medallist has secured another partnership, now becoming the face of RBL Bank and Mastercard’s latest campaign.
The ‘Kyunki Kuch Kushiyan Hai Priceless‘ campaign promotes RBL Bank’s Mastercard Credit Card’s easy-to-use and safe characteristics.
The television campaign showcases that while Chanu’s talent, skill and hard work back her in the ring, in the outside world she is backed by RBL’s Mastercard Credit Card, which takes care of all her needs – from training equipment to celebrating a victory.
The campaign promotes the message that no matter what your needs are, with RBL’s Mastercard Credit Card, your payment security is in the best hands.
Chanu’s new partnership with RBL Bank and Mastercard comes on the back of her recent sponsorship deal with Amway. Aside from her growing brand endorsement portfolio, Chanu has also been rewarded and felicitated by the Indian government for her achievements.
Apart from the awards and prize money, Chanu was recently made a member of the Indian Police force, being felicitated by the Home Minister, Amit Shah. She now holds the post of Additional Superintendent of Police in the Manipur State Police and a post in the Northeast Frontier Railways following her Tokyo heroics.
What is interesting about the new RBL and Mastercard partnership is that just days before the launch of the campaign, RBL Bank had started issuing credit cards on the Visa platform after the Reserve Bank of India barred Mastercard from issuing any new credit, debit or prepaid cards.
