Natalie Robyn announced as FIA’s first-ever CEO

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has announced former Volvo Switzerland CEO Natalie Robyn as its first-ever chief executive officer.

Robyn has more than a decade of experience in the automotive industry and has held senior management positions at Daimler Chrysler and Nissan in the past. Her appointment is part of the new FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem’s goals of reforming the FIA’s management structure.

As CEO, Robyn will be “responsible for the successful operation and financial performance of an integrated and aligned FIA administration”, while also looking after the overall strategy to help drive the FIA’s vision of reformation. She will work on commercial growth plans aimed at diversifying and increasing the FIA’s revenue streams along with ensuring financial stability for the FIA members as well.

Speaking about Robyn’s appointment, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President, FIA, commented:

The appointment of Natalie Robyn as our first ever CEO is a transformative moment for our Federation. Her extensive experience and leadership will be crucial to improving our finances, governance and operations. She has a proven track record of delivering diversification and growth, as well as developing executive leadership capabilities which will be an extremely valuable asset to the FIA and our Members and I welcome her to the team.

Natalie Robyn added:

I am delighted to be appointed the first ever CEO of the FIA at such an important and exciting time for the Federation. I look forward to working with Members, the senior leadership team and the President to deliver their vision of reform and growth with the involvement of all staff.
