Olympic hero signed on as brand ambassador
Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra has been roped in by education platform Disney BYJU’s Early Learn app as their brand ambassador.
The two year partnership will see Chopra work towards inspiring the youngsters to learn in a creative and interactive way and also highlight the importance of sports in their lives.
Speaking about his new partnership, Chopra commented,
“I am thrilled be able to help make learning fun, engaging and effective for young minds with Disney BYJU’S Early Learn app.
‘As a sportsperson, there is nothing more encouraging than seeing children learn from an early age while getting the chance to instil the right values in them. In sport or life, learning and training go hand-in-hand, and I hope I can work with these children to get them engaged and more involved with the learning process.”
JSW Sports, who manages Chopra, CEO, Mustafa Ghouse, added,
“While a lot has been written and said about Neeraj’s historic achievement in Tokyo, the story behind how he got there is one that is truly inspirational, making him a great role model for the youth. We have been working closely with Neeraj to identify meaningful brand associations, and this partnership made a lot of sense since he has always wanted to work with kids.”
On the pitch though, Chopra is currently training at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Centre in California as he prepares for the 2022 season, where he is scheduled to participate in the World Championship, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, where he will be defending his gold medals in the latter two.
