The New York Knicks have formed a new collaboration with Piece of Cake Moving & Storage, a New York-based moving firm. As part of a multi-year partnership with the Knicks’ parent company, Madison Square Garden Sports Corp, Piece of Cake has been named the NBA team’s first-ever moving and storage partner.
Through this partnership, Piece of Cake will be promoted during Madison Square Garden events via LED signs, on-court competitions, hoop pole signage and promotional in-game elements on GardenVision.
Additionally, the branding of the moving and storage business will also be shown on digital billboards outside Madison Square Garden as well as in many mailings sent to Knicks season ticket holders.
The Knicks will start their 2022-23 NBA season on Thursday, October 20, 2022, against the Memphis Grizzlies at 5 AM (IST).
Speaking on the collaboration, Ron Skotarczak, MSG Entertainment Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, said:
“This is an outstanding opportunity to partner with a brand that has been recognized as the leader in the moving industry throughout New York City. Similar to MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment, Piece of Cake puts their customers’ needs and experience at the forefront and for us, that’s a perfect partner.“
Voyo Popovic, Founder & CEO of Piece of Cake Moving & Storage, added:
“At Piece of Cake, we are proud to be the trusted go-to mover for New Yorkers, and now the first Moving and Storage Partner of the iconic New York Knicks.
“No one represents the spirit of New York like the Knicks – they’re always on the ball and play for every minute, that’s what it means to move like a New Yorker. Our partnership with the Knicks marries two of New York’s most celebrated brands as we both move this city.“
