New Zealand Cricket (NZC) ropes in Castore for new partnership

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has signed a six-year deal with British sports apparel manufacturer Castore, which thus becomes the Official Outfitter of the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS teams as well as their fans, with the partnership set to officially kick off in October 2024.

As per the agreement, Castore will provide outfits for the New Zealand women’s national cricket team’s white-ball squads and the New Zealand men’s national cricket team’s white-ball and Test squads. Castore will also supply replica gear to the teams’ fans.

With Castore coming on board, NZC’s current international apparel partnership with Canterbury of New Zealand (CCC) is set to end in September 2024.

Chris Smith, NZC GM Commercial, commented:

There is significant alignment between the values and objectives of NZC, and Castore. A partnership with Castore presents opportunities for NZC to better serve the high performance needs of our players, to build on the NZC, BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS brands, and to meet the changing preferences of fans.

CCC have been with us since 2008 and we’ve very much appreciated the close relationship, the creativity and design, and the goodwill they’ve brought to the table. We part company on very good terms.

Tom Beahan, Co-founder and Spokesman, Castore, added:

The team plays the sport the right way, positive, authentic and with humility, which is everything we strive for as a brand. There is a further similarity with the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS, as those teams are not afraid to take on the supposed big players in the sport, much like ourselves.
