Women’s Dinghy Race 3 – N. Kumanan is placed at the 11th position after Race 3.
Women’s 25M Pistol Qualification – Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh participated in the Qualification round. While Manu Bhaker qualified in second position, Esha Singh started well but ended at a disappointing 18th place.
Men’s Skeet Qualification Round 1 – Anant Jeet Singh Naruka was placed at the 26th position with 68 points after the 1st round.
Men’s Singles – Lakshya Sen came back from a set down to beat Chinese Taipei’s Chou-Tien Chen 19-21,21-15,21-12 to become the first Indian Men’s player to enter the Singles Semi-Final.
Men’s Individual- Shubhankar Sharma is placed at 25th position after Round 2. Round 3 will be played tomorrow which will feature Gagandeep Bhullar.
Mixed Doubles Bronze Medal Match – Indian Mixed Doubles pair of Dheeraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat lost the Bronze Medal match 6-2 to American pair of Brady Elisson and Casey Kaufhold.
Women’s 5000M Heats- Indian athletes Parul Chaudhary and Ankita Dhyani failed to qualify for the 5000M finals finishing at 14th and 20th position in their heats respectively.
Shotput Qualification – In his three attempts, TajinderPal Singh Toor could only manage an 18.05m in his first throw which was well below the qualification mark of 20.09m. Unfotunately,his other two attempts were foul throws which landed him in the 15th position and out of qualification.
