Austrian Formula One team Red Bull Racing and software firm Zoom Video Communications have announced a new “Innovation Partnership”, which will see Red Bull integrate Zoom’s communications platform in all of Red Bull’s platforms to advance performance and drive fan engagement.
The partnership will see various Zoom technology be used by Red Bull during race days to improve some of their key functions.
The Zoom tech that Red Bull will be implementing includes:
Zoom Chat: to be used by the Pit Wall and the Technology Campus in Milton Keynes to help them stay in touch and updated with the latest from the race;
Zoom Meetings: to share important insights and data; and
Zoom Events: this will be used by the team to engage with the fans. Red Bull will host various events and experiences, which will be powered by Zoom Events and fans can interact with each other and the team through this.
Additionally, Zoom’s branding will also be present on Red Bull’s cars, driver and team race shirts and overalls, pit wall, garage and online assets. The partnership will kick off from the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix.
Speaking about the partnership, Christian Horner, Team Principal and CEO, Red Bull Racing, commented:
“We are very excited about partnering with Zoom. Their forward-thinking approach to communications mirrors our attitude to racing on track. They are fast, secure and reliable in everything they deliver. Zoom’s proven track record of innovation will enhance our communication capabilities and provide us with a cohesive platform that will continue to bind the entire team together.“
