Red Bull Racing have announced that Liam Lawson will be racing for them for a third consecutive Grand Prix as Isack Hadjar continues to recover from his wrist injury.

With Lawson driving for Red Bull, Yuki Tsunoda keeps his Racing Bulls seat for a third outing as the Kiwi’s replacement, partnering Arvid Lindblad.

Lawson and Tsunoda will next be seen in action this weekend at the Spanish Grand Prix, which will take place at the brand new Madring circuit.

Hadjar hurt himself during the summer break, which forced him to miss the resumption of the 2026 F1 season. Lawson was announced as his replacement at Red Bull for the Dutch Grand Prix. He managed a P7 in the Netherlands, but a rough outing in Italy saw him finish outside the points at P14.

Tsunoda, meanwhile, has had promising outings with Racing Bulls. After narrowly missing out on points in Zandvoort, he scored his first points of the season in Monza with a P10 finish.

Red Bull released the following statement on the matter:

“After racing for the team in Zandvoort and Monza, Liam will continue to drive alongside Max at this week’s Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. The decision has been taken as Isack’s recovery continues to progress positively. While he is not yet ready to return to the cockpit, he will be in Madrid supporting the team. Everyone at Oracle Red Bull Racing looks forward to welcoming Isack back behind the wheel very soon.”
