Austrian multinational energy drink conglomerate Red Bull has struck a partnership with Hungarian professional footballer Dominik Szoboszlai.
In the announcement video posted on his social media, Szoboszlai can be seen drinking a can of the famous energy drink before putting on a Red Bull car helmet and taking a Red Bull car for a spin on a racing track. The video also features Dutch footballer Xavi Simmons on Facetime “welcoming” the Liverpool FC midfielder to the Red Bull Family.
Szoboszlai’s association with Red Bull isn’t new. He arrived onto the senior football scene shining for Red Bull-owned clubs before making the move to Merseyside last year. The 23-year-old started with FC Liefering, the reserve side of Austrian heavyweights Red Bull Salzburg, whom he represented between 2018 and 2021 before moving to RB Leipzig in Germany.
The new Red Bull agreement marks Szoboszlai’s third big endorsement deal after joining Liverpool FC. He also acts as a brand ambassador for Magyar Telekom as well as McDonald’s Hungary, which has even had a meal named after him called the “Domi meal”.
The announcement comes on the back of the recent appointment of former Liverpool FC men’s first team manager Jürgen Klopp as the Head of Soccer for the entire Red Bull network of clubs. With Liverpool’s Trent-Alexander Arnold also a Red Bull brand ambassador, the energy drink giant’s association with the Merseyside club keeps on growing.
