EssilorLuxottica and Roger Federer have announced an exclusive licensing agreement for the creation, production and international distribution of eyewear under the brand names of Roger Federer (“RF”) and Oliver Peoples.

A leader in design, production and sale of eyeglasses, frames and sunglasses, EssilorLuxottica is a multinational company that was established in 2018 with the goal of assisting people globally in seeing more and being more by addressing their changing vision needs and goals for personal style.

Oliver Peoples was established in 1987. The brand’s source of inspiration continue to be the vintage aesthetic and the distinctive culture of Los Angeles, as well as elements of fashion, the film industry, art, music and Southern Californian elegance.

Federer and Oliver Peoples’ joint idea led to the creation of the first collection, which is scheduled to release in the spring of 2024. Their common commitment to craft excellence and love of understated luxury will serve as inspiration for the designs.

Francesco Milleri, Chairman and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, stated:

Roger Federer is a legendary athlete, a passionate entrepreneur, and a force in the worlds of fashion and lifestyle. Our shared values and his global influence makes him the perfect partner for us and for the Oliver Peoples brand. We’re looking forward to creating beautiful eyewear together.

Roger Federer commented:

I am thrilled to collaborate with Oliver Peoples. I’ve been a fan of the brand for years and have always appreciated their exceptional craftsmanship alongside timeless, elegant designs. We both found great commonality in how we approach our work, and they are a perfect partner for the debut of my RF eyewear collection in 2024.

Rocco Basilico, CEO of Oliver Peoples, further added:

We are excited to partner with Roger Federer. His prominence and cultural impact is legendary and reaches beyond the world of tennis. We very much look forward to what’s to come.
