Sheffield United FC partner with Nix Biosensors

Sheffield United Football Club have announced a partnership with Nix Biosensors, a Boston, Massachusetts–based manufacturer of hydration monitoring tech.

As per the agreement, which covers the men’s first team of the South Yorkshire club, the Nix Pro monitoring platform will be integrated into the club’s training and matchday routines, helping the Blades monitor their players’ sweat loss and electrolyte levels in order to optimise performance and recovery and provide tailored hydration strategies.

Meridith Cass, CEO and Founder of Nix Biosensors, said:

We’re proud to support a club like Sheffield United, that’s investing in cutting-edge science to protect and enhance player performance. Hydration is one of the most controllable factors in elite sport, and we’re thrilled to bring our technology to UK football for the first time.
