SL Benfica Sponsors 2021-22

Following are the companies and organisations that serve as sponsors and brand partners to Liga Portugal Bwin club Sport Lisboa e Benfica (SL Benfica) and enjoy a strong branding presence across their physical and digital assets.

 

Emirates – The Dubai-headquartered flag carrier airline of the UAE was announced as an official sponsor of the club in May 2015. Emirates hoped to promote its brand with this partnership as it planned to launch a new flight from Dubai to Lisbon the year after.
The deal sees Emirates serve as the principal front-of-shirt sponsor for Benfica’s matchday kits.

 

Sagres – Sagres (Cerveja Sagres) is a major beer brand of Vila Franca de Xira-headquartered Portuguese brewery, Sociedade Central de Cervejas (SCC). Sagres has been an official sponsor of SL Benfica since June 2009, when it signed an initial twelve-year deal with the club.
As part of the partnership, Sagres’ logo features on the back of Benfica’s matchday shirt, right above the player’s name.

 

Adidas – The German sportswear giant has been a long-time kit supplier of SL Benfica. Adidas first supplied the club kits from 1977 to 1990, after which Hummel (1990-1994) and Olympic (1994-1997) took over for the next seven years, before Adidas returned as the kit supplier in 1997 and has held that role ever since.
Most recently, the two parties extended their partnership in June 2021 in a six-year agreement. Their previous deal, running from 2015 to 2021, was reportedly worth €4.5m annually.

 

Betano – The Portuguese betting platform was announced by the club as their Official Betting Sponsor and first-ever sleeve sponsor in August 2021.
As per the deal, Betano becomes the first company to have its logo feature on the left sleeve of Benfica’s matchday shirt. The deal also entails several digital activations.

 

NOS – The Lisbon-headquartered Portuguese telecom company has maintained a broadcasting deal with SL Benfica since December 2015. As per the deal, NOS holds rights to broadcast Benfica’s league matches as well as the content from their in-house club channel, Benfica TV.

Repsol – The association of the Madrid-headquartered Spanish energy and petrochemical company with SL Benfica dates back to 1985. The partnership has seen a multitude of co-branded initiatives, including exclusive offers for Repsol’s customers and Benfica’s fans. In particular, Benfica’s club members get exclusive discount on Repsol fuel.
The last official announcement regarding the extension of the partnership between Repsol and Benfica came in July 2014.

 

Hospital da Luz – The Lisbon branch of the Portuguese hospital chain has been the official medical service provider to SL Benfica since 2014. As per the deal, Hospital da Luz provides clinical assistance to the club, which includes player medicals, diagnoses, treatment amongst other services.
The two parties last renewed their partnership in July 2021 in a two-year agreement.

 

WiZink – WiZink, a Madrid-headquartered digital bank with presence in Spain and Portugal, was announced as an official sponsor and payment partner of SL Benfica in June 2021 on a five-year deal.
As per the deal, the two parties will work together to offer co-branded payment solutions to the club’s members and fans, including a Benfica-themed credit card and a loyalty programme dedicated to the club’s fanbase.

 

Suits Inc – The Portuguese fashion brand was announced as Benfica’s Official Suits Partner in July 2021 on a four-year deal.
As per the deal, Suits Inc provides the club’s players and staff with bespoke formalwear.

 

LeasePlan – The Dutch car-as-service and mobility solutions company also serves as an official sponsor to SL Benfica. Apart from branding rights, the deal sees the two working on exclusive initiatives for Benfica’s members and fans.

 

Norauto – Norauto is an automotive services provider across Europe (France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal) and Argentina. Its Carnaxide-headquartered Portuguese division, Norauto Portugal, serves as an official sponsor to SL Benfica. Apart from branding rights, the deal sees the two working on exclusive initiatives for Benfica’s members and fans.

 

EA Sports – The Redwood City, California-headquartered sports video games division of Electronic Arts also serves as an official sponsor to SL Benfica. The deal sees the two work on co-branded initiatives, most of which revolve around EA Sports’ annually released football simulation game, FIFA.
The two parties last announced an extension of their partnership in July 2021.

 

CIN – CIN is a Portuguese paint and protective coatings brand headquartered in Porto. It has been associated with SL Benfica since 2014.

 

FGIL Automóveis – FGIL Automóveis is a Portuguese car dealership based out of Portalegre. It also serves as an official sponsor to SL Benfica.

 

Hublot – The Nyon-headquartered Swiss luxury watchmaker was announced as the official timekeeper of SL Benfica in May 2017.
At the time the deal was announced, Benfica’s player and staff were presented with a limited-edition club-themed watch (Classic Fusion Chronograph SL Benfica) by Hublot.

Dione Ice Cream – Dione is a Lithuanian ice cream brand based out of Klaip?da. It also serves as an official sponsor to SL Benfica.

 

Zumub – The Cacém-headquartered Portuguese dietary supplements and sports nutrition brand was announced as the official nutrition partner of SL Benfica in February 2021.
Apart from branding rights, the deal sees Zumub work with Benfica’s nutrition department to provide dietary solutions for their players. The club’s members and fans are also able to avail exclusive offers on Zumub’s products.

 

Água Monchique – Based out of Monchique, the Portuguese mineral water brand was announced as the official water partner of the club in December 2019 on an initial three-year deal. The partnership entails branding rights, with Água Monchique’s water provided to Benfica’s players and staff during training and matchdays.

 

Delta Cafés – The Campo Maior-headquartered Portuguese coffee roasting and coffee packaging company also serves as an official partner to SL Benfica. Apart from branding rights, the partnership sees the two working on co-branded initiatives, with Delta Cafés’ coffee made available across all Benfica-associated venues.
