Sony Sports to broadcast historic Pakistan v England series

Sports broadcasting network Sony Sports Network will be broadcasting the England tour of Pakistan, which gets underway from September 20, 2022.

The tour is the first time England will be visiting Pakistan for a series in 17 years. The 2019 ODI World Cup winners will take on the hosts in seven T20Is. Once the series is concluded on October 2, England will head to Australia for the T20I World Cup. Following the T20I World Cup, the Three Lions will return to Pakistan in December for a three-Test series, which will also be broadcast by Sony Pictures Network.

All of the matches during England’s tour of Pakistan will be telecast live on Sony Six, Sony Six HD and also on Sony’s OTT platform, SonyLIV.

While Pakistan will be looking to go all the way in the T20I World Cup, having been knocked out in the Semi-finals of the tournament last year, England will hope to clinch their first T20I World Cup trophy since 2010. Both teams will get the ideal preparation for the World Cup during this T20I series in Pakistan.

The English team will be led by Moeen Ali for the first couple of games, with first-choice captain Jos Buttler recovering from his injury. The Three Lions will also be looking forward to ace T20 batter Alex Hales returning to the national team set-up for the first time since 2019.
