Southampton Football Club have announced a renewal of their partnership with 8×8, a California-based provider of Voice over IP products.
As per the renewal, 8×8 will remain an Official Partner of the Saints and support the club’s operations and matchday experiences via its cloud-based contact centre and communications technology. 8×8 branding will continue featuring on the big screen and pitch-side LED boards at Southampton’s home ground, St Mary’s Stadium, while the two parties will also collaborate on digital content, community outreach initiatives, exclusive fan experiences, and technology-led engagement projects.
Huw Fielding, Director of IT, Southampton Football Club, commented:
“8×8’s technology has become part of the way we operate – from supporting our ticketing and hospitality services to enabling unique experiences for our supporters. Renewing this partnership means we can keep raising the bar for how we connect with fans, on matchdays and throughout the year.”
Jamie Snaddon, EMEA Managing Director at 8×8, added:
“Southampton FC represents passion, dedication, and community – values that resonate deeply with us at 8×8. This partnership is about more than sponsorship. It’s about giving the club the tools to connect with supporters in ways that feel personal, whether that’s answering a fan’s question, delivering a matchday update, or creating a memorable surprise. We’re proud to keep building those moments together.”
