A Look at Stephen Curry’s Advertising Journey

Stephen Curry is a world-known basketball player. His father, Dell Curry, was an NBA player of his time. Thanks to him, Steph came into this world in an environment that supported the sport. The right start with hard work and persistence, helped Steph emerge as a successful basketball player. Steph is also amongst the richest athletes in the world. Steph made a smashing $79.8 Million in the past year. Out of which $42 Million came from endorsements.
Stephen is a favourite of brands. If you consider earnings from endorsements, in the past year, Steph made the 5th most money amongst all the athletes in the world. On that note, let us straight away take you to all the brands that Stephen Curry has worked for in his career so far.

Rakuten
Japanese electronic commerce and Internet company, Rakuten, roped in Stephen Curry as a global brand ambassador at the beginning of 2019.

JPMorgan Chase
In the first quarter of 2016, JPMorgan Chase signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Golden State Warriors’ point guard, Stephen Curry.

Nissan Motors
The world-known Japanese automaker, Nissan Motor, partnered with Stephen to endorse their premium brand, Infiniti.

Under Armour
In 2013, when Stephen’s contract with Nike came to an end, he looked the other way and joined hands with a rival brand, Under Armour.

Palm
Verizon’s exclusive range, Palm Phone, was relaunched in 2018. Stephen did not just endorse the new tiny phones by the brand but he also invested in them.

JBL
Stephen Curry joined forces with JBL in the second half of 2017.

Vivo
At the beginning of 2017, much before his association with Palm, Stephen was seen endorsing Vivo smartphones.

eHi
Stephen became the first NBA player in December 2016, to become the brand ambassador of eHi Car Services Limited.

Brita
During the later months of 2015, Stephen Curry signed a three-year endorsement deal with water filter brand, Brita.

Bubble
Stephen endorsed group chat app, Bubble, in 2017.

Express Inc.
In February 2015, Stephen Curry became the first-ever brand ambassador of Express.  He was roped in as the chain’s menswear collections.

Zamst
A high-performance sports equipment company, Zamst, first joined hands with Stephen Curry during the 2012-2013 season.

Nike
As soon as Stephen Curry entered the NBA, he inked a sponsorship deal with sportswear brand, Nike. The association ended in 2013.

Muscle Milk
Muscle Milk became a partner of Curry in 2013. The agreement was later extended and it continued through 2018.

Capri Sun
In 2013, Capri Sun signed Stephen Curry along with John Cena, David Ortiz, and Gabby Douglas to endorse its juice brand, Tropical Fruit.

Degree Deodorant
Degree Deodorant and Stephen Curry began their partnership in 2014 which was later extended through 2017.

Apple
In 2015, Stephen featured in a commercial for iPhone 6s.

Burger King
As a child, Stephen acted in a Burger King commercial alongside his father, Dell Curry.
