Sunderland AFC signs new deal with the University of Sunderland

English football club Sunderland AFC has announced a new multi-year agreement with the University of Sunderland who joins the club as their Official Higher Education Partner. The partnership will see both work together  to provide opportunities for students to engage with the club and its wider community. There will also be themed activities and campaigns through the collaboration. 

Scott McCubbin, Chief Commercial Officer, Sunderland AFC, commented,

“The University of Sunderland is an important part of the fabric of our city, and we’re delighted to formalise our relationship through this multi-year partnership.Having already worked together during Made in Sunderland week last season, we’ve seen the value of bringing our organisations and communities together. We look forward to building on that work, creating meaningful opportunities for students and celebrating the people, businesses and organisations that make Sunderland such a special place.”
