After a week of action, the third T20 Mumbai League season has reached its final game.
Here’s our preview and prediction for the 2025 T20 Mumbai League final between Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals and SoBo Mumbai Falcons.
It is yet another final for Shreyas Iyer and SoBo Mumbai Falcons, who started their season with a Super Over win and have lost just one league game coming into the final. Iyer, arriving on the back of a defeat in the IPL 2025 final, has another shot at picking up a T20 league trophy.
The Falcons have an explosive top order, featuring Kolkata Knight Riders youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ishan Mulchandani, and captain Shreyas Iyer, which has been doing the bulk of the scoring. Harsh Aghav and Akash Parkar have been key for the Falcons as well, with the latter providing crucial clutch knocks to close out innings.
With the ball, Siddharth Raut, Parkar, and Yash Dicholkar have been among the wickets. Parkar, in particular, will be the key for Iyer & Co.
The Royals, on the other hand, are led by the experienced Siddhesh Lad, who has stepped up with the bat at the top of the order. Sahil Jadhav and Chinmay Sutar have also been in good touch, while Saksham Parashar and Aditya Dhumal have had some runs at the lower end of the batting unit.
In terms of bowling, Rohan Raje comes into the final on the back of a five-wicket haul in the semi-final, while Dhumal, Irfan Umair, and Rohan Ghag have been economical and chipped in with wickets.
The pitch at Wankhede Stadium has been a tad slower than usual, as we saw in the IPL recently, but there will still be plenty of runs on offer for the batters. Given the firepower at their disposal, it’s hard to look past SoBo Mumbai Falcons for the 2025 T20 Mumbai League title.
