Timex India launches new campaign with Gujarat Titans (GT)

With their reliable timekeeper Timex at their side, the champions decide to push past their limits by doing what motivates them. 

Timex India advertises themselves as the official timekeepers of the defending IPL champion Gujarat Titans with the campaign “Timex – Choice of The Titans” for their IPL debut. This alliance enhances the champion’s spirit. Through showcasing the connection and reaffirming Timex’s position as India’s top watch brand, the campaign hopes to generate enthusiasm among cricket and watch fans worldwide.

Timex has unveiled a compelling campaign video. It begins in a casual setting with Wriddhiman Saha and Rahul Tewatia enjoying a video game, then cuts to Shubman Gill passionately practicing his batting techniques on the cricket pitch. The scenario ends with Rahul saying, “Aaj time waste karega tabhi toh kal hundred marega,” as a committed Gill works away in the nets to greatness. The key message is that champions choose to waste time only when it will help them do things correctly. The commercial video concludes with an artistic image of the three of them together, with the Timex logo and a Timex – GT special edition watch visible in the foreground.

The AV highlights a strong message: the champions decide to test the limits by doing what motivates them, with their dependable timekeeper Timex by their side.  Whether or not the rest of the world thinks it is a waste of time is irrelevant; what counts is their decision to act on their beliefs.

The campaign is being aired on English News and Sony TV networks. The campaign will also air on JIO Streaming and Radio City in addition to television. Furthermore, it will be advertised on outdoor billboards in 10 cities and on the Timex India social media accounts.

Timex India has released three limited-edition timepieces co-branded with Gujarat Titans, one of which features their memorable catchphrase, “Aava De,” as inspiration from this partnership. Tobias Reiss-Schmidt, CEO of Timex Global, recently visited Delhi to introduce the watches in an exhilarating press conference.
