The United States Soccer Federation, commonly referred to as US Soccer, has announced a partnership agreement with The Home Depot, a home improvement retailer headquartered in Cobb County, Georgia.
The partnership will see The Home Depot become a Strategic Partner of the 27 US Soccer–affiliated national teams, including the US men’s and women’s senior national football teams (commonly called USMNT and USWNT, respectively) as well as the youth and extended national teams. It will also become a Supporting Level Partner of US Soccer’s new home ground in Atlanta: the Arthur M Blank National Training Center.
Additionally, the two parties will collaborate on a host of community activities to raise awareness about Hometown Heroes, who have a positive impact in the communities, and make them Gameday Ambassadors during USMNT and USWNT games.
David Wright, Chief Commercial Officer, US Soccer, said:
“The Home Depot’s deep roots in the Atlanta community and strong ties to sports, and soccer in general, make it a perfect strategic partner for our Federation. Its support is crucial toward building our National Training Center and helping us unite communities across the country through the beautiful game, and we look forward to what we can achieve together in service to soccer.”
Molly Battin, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at The Home Depot, added:
“The Home Depot is thrilled to deepen our commitment to soccer through this partnership with The U.S. Soccer Federation. Our customers are passionate about sports, including soccer, and we’re proud to support the game they love. This partnership allows us to help build the foundation for the future of soccer in the U.S.“
