Uber confirmed as official rideshare and on-demand delivery partner of LA28 Games and Team USA

American global transportation giant Uber has been announced as the official rideshare and on-demand delivery partner of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games (LA28) as well as Team USA.

Uber will provide its “advanced mobility solutions to design, implement and optimize rideshare operations across Los Angeles” for easier navigation through the city.

LA28 will gain Uber’s expertise, with its transport partners “providing tech capabilities, operational best practices, and a strategic network of pickup and drop-off locations to support a seamless and multi-modal mobility experience across the greater LA region.”

Additionally, Uber Eats — the company’s food delivery service — will provide the Olympic and Paralympic Villages with on-demand delivery, while also working on fan experiences.

Uber will also provide rideshare cars, bikes, and scooters to support the “multi-modal journeys to and from LA28 venues and mobility hubs.” It will also support NBCUniversal’s multi-platform coverage of the Games, as well as work with the media company to bring forward athlete stories via content activities.

The 2028 Summer Olympics will be held between July 14 and 30, 2028, with the Paralympic Games to be held between August 15 and August 27 — right after the Olympic Games.

Casey Wasserman, Chairperson and President, LA28, said:

Mobility is at the heart of what makes the Olympic and Paralympic Games extraordinary, connecting athletes to venues, fans to experiences and our global community across LA. Uber’s commitment to innovation and seamless service aligns with our vision to deliver an unparalleled Games experience that showcases the very best of what our city and these athletes represent.

Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO, Uber, added:

We’re honored to partner with LA28 and Team USA. It’s a tremendous privilege for us to help people from across the globe move around LA and offer on-demand delivery to the Olympic and Paralympic Village. The drivers, couriers and merchants who will show up for visitors and locals are the backbone who make the partnership come together. The Olympic and Paralympic Games are a true celebration of the human spirit, and we’re incredibly proud to be LA28’s trusted partner.
