Vueling on-boards Aitana Bonmatí as Brand Ambassador

Spanish low-cost airline Vueling has announced Spanish football star Aitana Bonmatí as its latest brand ambassador.

Vueling is already in partnership with Bonmatí’s team, Barça Women, with one of its aircrafts carrying the team and sporting their colours throughout Europe.

Vueling has stated that partnership will raise the visibility of women’s sport to inspire future generations “by promoting talent and offering new role models that allow us to end some of the gender prejudices that still exist in society.”

In 2024, Bonmatí achieved a clean sweep of all possible titles collectively and individually, and Vueling considers her a “model of perseverance and self-improvement” and inspiration for those who seek to achieve their dreams through discipline and dedication.

The midfielder is the reigning winner of the women’s Ballon d’Or, which she also won in 2023, and she has also been recognised by FIFA via “The Best” Football Awards on two consecutive occasions, having also received the “Creu de Sant Jordi” (St George’s Cross) by the Government of Catalonia.

Speaking on her latest sponsorship, Bonmatí said:

I am proud to collaborate with a company that shares values that I consider essential in life and in sport. Perseverance, teamwork and daily improvement are the key to achieving our goals and, through this alliance, I hope to inspire new generations to pursue their dreams and break barriers.

Sandra Hors, Chief Corporate Affairs, Brand and Sustainability Officer at Vueling Airlines, said:

We are very proud to welcome Aitana Bonmatí as an ambassador for Vueling.

Aitana is a benchmark of effort, talent and leadership, and perfectly embodies the values of our company. Through this collaboration, we seek to inspire new generations and contribute to the visibility of female talent, promoting positive change in our society.

For Vueling, supporting women’s sport is a commitment that goes beyond sponsorship: it is a commitment to equality, inclusion and talent.”
