Watch this epic Merc commercial featuring Roger Federer

“True performance is timeless” and to prove this, Mercedes-Benz did something that nobody could have imagined. In a commercial that was made in the second half of 2016, they made the legendary tennis player, Roger Federer perform like Rod Laver, John McEnroe, Andre Agassi and Bjorn Borg. With every transition, they also showed how their brand has evolved with time.

Using humor as a tool, the makers (Merkley + Partners) perfectly showed the audience that both their brand and RF are indeed “Timeless”.  Apart from the brilliant idea of the ad, one can also not ignore the fact that this commercial has the power to stay in human minds forever. And that power is because of the presence of Roger Federer in it.

Hiring a celebrity is an easy thing to do but making that celebrity convincible in your commercial is a difficult task. Mercedes-Benz deserves full marks for accomplishing this.

Honestly, I have no idea how this video missed my eye and that of the social media. Anyway, I hope that one day before the Australian Open final this ad brings a smile to all RF fans.
