West Indies vs England 4th T20I: Preview and Predictions

West Indies looking to get on the board

The visitors, England have sealed the five-match T20I series 3-0 after taking the third game and the hosts, West Indies will be looking to avoid a whitewash and embarrassment at home as they look to end their white-ball series against England on a high.

Ahead of the fourth T20I, here’s our match preview and prediction.

West Indies vs England 4th T20I | England tour of West Indies 2024 | 01:30 IST, November 17

The Windies batting line-up, which struggled in the second T20I once again collapsed as they were reeling at 37-5 at one point after being put into bat first. It took a fighting partnership from captain Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd and some late contributions from Alzarri Joseph which got them to a respectable 145/8. Defending a low total, it was Akeal Hosein, bowling his heart out, taking a heroic four-for which put some scare in the English camp but it wasn’t enough in the end.

The visitors on the other hand, were clinical with the ball to start with as Saqib Mahmood had the Windies top order in tatters before Jamie Overton cleaned up the rest. While the likes of Phil Salt, Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethell failed, it was the young Will Jacks and a calm-headed innings from Sam Curran along with some explosive hitting from Liam Livingstone which saw England through to seal the series.

Playing at the same ground again, it should be advantage England once more but with the series wrapped up, England might test out their bench-strength which would give the hosts a good chance and the West Indies squad are our favourites to hit back in the fourth game to make sure they don’t get whitewashed.

Fantasy XI: Phil Salt, Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran, Liam Livingstone, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Saqib Mahmood, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Akeal Hosein, Gudakesh Motie

Venue: Gros Islet

Winners Prediction: West Indies
