Here’s how Red Bull can secure sixth Constructors’ title at Singapore GP 2023

We are 14 races into the Formula One 2023 season and, incredibly, all the races have been won by Red Bull. Reigning World Champion and current Championship leader, Max Verstappen, has won 12 of them and is on a ten-race win streak, while his teammate, Sergio Pérez, has won the other two.

While Red Bull aim to make it a clean sweep for the season and win all the remaining races, it also means that the Constructors’ Championship title is in the bag, just a matter of time before they secure it.

Red Bull’s incredible dominance sees them inch closer to their sixth Constructors’ title, with the Austrian team having previously won it in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2022.

Red Bull could secure that sixth Constructors’ trophy this weekend at the Marina Bay Circuit in Singapore. In this article, we take a look at the two possible outcomes that could see them secure that title.

Scenario 1:

The first scenario through which Red Bull can leave Singapore with the Constructors’ Championship title is if they score a 1-2 in the race and their closest Constructors’ contenders, Mercedes, fail to score.

If the Silver Arrows have a race to forget, where they leave with no points, and Red Bull get a 1-2, the Constructors’ Championship title will be handed over to Red Bull in Singapore for the second season in a row.

Scenario 2:

The second scenario through which the Austrian team can win the Constructors’ Championship title in Singapore itself is if they secure the first and second places in the race as well as the fastest point. If this is the case, and Mercedes score either only one point or none, then Red Bull will be crowned winners in Singapore.

Should Red Bull fail to finish 1-2, or Mercedes score more than one point, then the title fight will carry on to the Japanese Grand Prix, scheduled to be held next week.
