Australia’s ODI clean sweep means they will retain the Ashes should they win the first T20I in Sydney. Alyssa Healy and Co head into the shortest format with the strongest squad, with Healy leading from the top and Beth Mooney, Phoebe Litchfield, and Ellyse Perry set to be the mainstays in the batting department. Perry, along with Ashleigh Gardner and Tahlia McGrath, will need to roll the arms over whenever needed, while Mega Schutt, Alana King, and Annabel Sutherland will lead the bowling unit.
On the other hand, Heather Knight and Co have their task cut out to keep the Ashes alive. Knight, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, and Sophia Dunkley are the main batters for England, with Sarah Glenn, Sophie Ecclestone, and Charlie Dean making up a strong spin unit.
Moore Park in Sydney is a low-scoring ground. Given Australia’s long and strong batting lineup, expect the hosts to come out on top in a close encounter.
Fantasy XI: Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight, Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland, Ashleigh Gardner, Lauren Bell, Alana King, Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone
