WPL 2025 | Match 10: Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Giants | Preview and Predictions

A struggling Gujarat Giants face the Delhi Capitals in the 10th game of the 2025 Women’s Premier League season.

Ashleigh Gardner and Co are desperate for a win and looking to find some form heading into the business end of the tournament. The Capitals, on the other hand, sit in third place and are tied on points with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Mumbai Indians.

For Match 10, here are our preview and predictions.

WPL 2025 | Match 10: Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Giants | 19:30 IST, February 25

For the Giants, it’s the bowling department that has been a major problem. They haven’t been able to bowl out their opponents even once and have been leaking runs. Gardner and Priya Mishra have been among the wickets, but the others have blown hot and cold, something they will look to fix ahead of the final leg of the WPL.

The Capitals, meanwhile, have been struggling to find consistency with the bat. Debutant and U19 World Cup–winning captain Niki Prasad bailed them out in their opening game against the MI, but the star-studded top batting order of the DC, boasting the likes of Meg Lanning, Shafali Verma, and Jemimah Rodrigues, is yet to click this season. Lanning and Verma are the league’s best opening pair, in terms of overall stats, and the veteran Aussie knows that she’ll need to take more responsibility. Delhi’s bowling, though, has been clinical, with Jess Jonassen, Shikha Pandey, and Marizanne Kapp all among the wickets.

Playing at the Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru, it should be another high-scoring encounter, with the Delhi Capitals’ squad strength giving them the edge in this encounter.

Fantasy XI: Meg Lanning, Shafali Verma, Beth Mooney, Laura Wolvaardt, Jemimah Rodrigues, Ashleigh Gardner, Harleen Deol, Marizanne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, Shikha Pandey, Priya Mishra

Venue: M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
Winners Prediction: Delhi Capitals
