Wrexham AFC inks new deal with Nex

Welsh football club Wrexham AFC, who currently are competing in the EFL Championship and owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, have announced a new partnership with American company Nex, who joins the club as their Principal Partner. The partnership will also see Nex become a Sleeve Sponsor of the club and support the Wrexham AFC Foundation and Wrexham Academy. 

The partnership will see the Nex Playground logo present on the sleeve of Wrexham kit starting from the upcoming 2026/27 season and both will also work on a host of activations throughout the season at the Racecourse Ground as part of the new Kop Stand, and during Wrexham’s summer tour as well. Nex will also have a Nex Game Zone at the stadium and host various youth-focused community initiatives and will also feature in various club events and be present in Wrexham’s docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham.

Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, Co-chairmen of Wrexham AFC, released a joint-statement, which read,

“Nex Playground and Wrexham both have big dreams and have experienced giant leaps forward in the past few years. We look forward to growing together, and Nex Playground consoles also allow the esteemed but aging Wrexham Co-Chairmen the ability to keep playing and competing but with less risk of ACL tears.”
