Can the Giants lock in a Playoffs berth?
A top of the table clash between the high-flying Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants, who have recently found form and are a win away from making it to the Playoffs.

The Gujarat Giants’ biggest turnaround in the last couple of games has been their bowlers stepping up when needed most. Against the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Deandra Dottin, Ashleigh Gardner, Kashvee Gautam and Tanuja Kanwar restricted RCB to 125 while they were once again at it, defending 185 in the last game against UP Warriorz. With Mooney finding form as well along with Harleen Deol, the Giants are slowly ticking off all the boxes as they are beginning to look like a well-oiled machine.
The Capitals on the other hand, come in on the back of three consecutive wins, waltzing into the Playoffs. Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma have been at their perilous best, providing the Capitals with the perfect start while Jess Jonassen and Annabel Sutherland have had good outings as well with the bat heading into the final leg of the tournament. Capitals have their two veteran stars, Marizanne Kapp and Shikha Pandey causing havoc up front with the new ball with Annabel Sutherland and Jess Jonassen being key in the middle overs, being economical and chipping in with the breakthroughs whenever needed.
A clash of two teams who are hitting pitch-perfect form should spell for an exciting clash and with Capitals taking the win in the first leg, the Giants will have revenge also on mind and with more at stake for Gardner’s girls, we have Giants as the slight favourites in this game.
