New Zealand Cricket partners with BatFast for upcoming India series
The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced a new partnership with sports technology platform BatFast with the aim of bringing interactive cricket experiences across New Zealand for their upcoming home series against India. The partnership agreement will see NZC’s Major Sponsor ANZ work with BatFast to host a ANZ BatZone where fans will have the chance to test their batting skills and also take part in BatFast’s augmented-reality cricket simulator and feel the thrill of facing and striking a real ball. The activations will be available at the grounds during New Zealand’s series against India across grounds at Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.
The New Zealand vs India series will feature all three formats and will kick off on October 22, 2026. The series will include 5 T20Is, 5 ODIs and 2 Tests as it will be the largest bilateral series played between India and New Zealand.
Glenn Critchley, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, New Zealand Cricket, commented,
“New Zealand Cricket is delighted to be teaming up with BatFast and ANZ to bring the experience to our country for the first time this summer. We’re always looking for ways to connect Kiwis with the game, build on our match day experience, and our engagement with the community, and we can think of no one better than BatFast to bring a genuinely world-class experience to cricket fans across Aotearoa.”
Jack Roddick, Senior Commercial Manager at BatFast, added,
“Sport is at its most powerful when people have the opportunity to participate, not simply watch. This partnership with New Zealand Cricket gives us an incredible platform to turn the excitement around one of the biggest series of the summer into active participation. We’re particularly excited to be taking interactive cricket experiences across New Zealand and giving fans the chance to get involved throughout the series.”
