DigitalBits join as the club’s third shirt sponsor.
Serie A side Inter Milan have signed a US$100.7 million, multi-year deal with Zytara Labs that will see DigitalBits become one of the club’s shirt sponsors.
As part of the deal, the DigitalBits blockchain network will serve as the club’s official global cryptocurrency of Inter Milan, with Zytara Labs joining on board as the club’s official global digital banking partner. The deal also entails sleeve sponsorship, which will have the DigitalBits logo on the Inter men’s and women’s teams’ kits as well as the youth teams’ and Primavera’s kits.
Zytara will also work with Inter’s official app to integrate its banking technology to create an immersive branded purchasing experience for users. Zytara’s integration will also let the fans access crypto-based products and also buy tickets for Inter’s home games at San Siro. The partnership will also use DigitalBits blockchain to integrate and accept the XDB cryptocurrency for payments at San Siro and across Inter’s online and physical stores in Milan.
Speaking about the deal, Inter’s Corporate Chief Executive, Alessandro Antonello, said, “This agreement reflects Inter’s commitment to set the global standard for technological excellence. While digital-first experiences are vital for all sport clubs, our partnership aims higher. By leveraging Zytara digital banking and blockchain technology we will be able to enhance our global reach towards younger and digital savvy audiences.”
DigitalBits joins the Serie A reigning champions as the second blockchain-based company to have a shirt sponsorship deal, after the club had announced a partnership with Socios.com as one of their shirt sponsors back in July. The deal is also a second for DigitalBits as it too signed another shirt sponsorship deal in July, with AS Roma for US$42.7 million.
