Indian wicket-keeper and Delhi Capital captain, Rishabh Pant, has been announced as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand by the state’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Pant, who was born in Roorkee in the Haridwar district in Uttarakhand, has been one of the brightest stars for the national team over the last couple of years. The Chief Minister spoke about Pant’s journey, coming from a simple background and making it big and hoped that his story can be an inspiration for all moving ahead.

Speaking about having Pant onboard as the state’s brand ambassador, Chief Minister Puskar Singh Dhami, stated,

“Pant has made a mark in the world. He has brought laurels to the country and the state. A better environment is being created by the state government for the youth of the state to make their mark at the national and international level.

‘Players like Rishabh Pant will inspire everyone by doing the work of inspiring everyone. A good environment will be created for sports in the state.”

After making his national team debut in 2018, the attacking wicket-keeper batsman recently captained India for the first time during India’s home series against South Africa, earlier this year.
