A conversation with the Founder of The Punch Boxing Championship, Mr Arif Khan

SportsKhabri had the honour of interviewing Arif Khan, the Managing Director of Sports Oodles Pvt. Ltd. and Founder of The Punch Boxing Championship, to discuss how professional boxing is evolving in India and the challenges faced by the professional boxers.

Focusing on brand sponsorships, Mr Khan says that the brands’ outlook towards this sport can improve as the game’s span is widened. He talks about the importance of Government support in terms of infrastructure. Mr Khan also talks about his challenges when he started this boxing venture and the scope of Combat sports in India. He added that India has a considerable advantage in terms of its demographic dividend. Indian players of the likes of Mary Kom and Vijendra Singh are a case in point.

Arif Khan is a renowned name in the sports business and involved in various sports leagues. With his media and marketing experience, he has onboarded some of the world’s biggest brands to sponsor, support, and develop a platform for various Indian sports athletes. His company holds exclusive marketing and broadcasting rights of All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board’s yearly Cricket League.
