AFC Bournemouth have announced a three-year extension of their partnership with Care South, a not-for-profit charity and provider of quality residential and care-at-home services. The two have been partners since 2014.

As per the new agreement, Care South will continue on as an Official Partner of the English professional football club’s Community Sports Trust. The two will also continue to work on the Extra Time project, which sees the club’s community coaches hold weekly sessions in residential homes with a focus on their health and wellbeing.

Amy Marks, Global Partnerships Manager at AFC Bournemouth, said:

Care South are a really valued partner and we’ve done some great work over the last nine years. It’s always a highlight when we go out to the homes and see so many happy faces there to greet us. We’re thoroughly looking forward to continuing our relationship with them and see it go from strength to strength.

Simon Bird, Chief Executive of Care South, added:

The key to our successful partnership is that we have a shared objective; to provide a real benefit to the residents and care at home clients in our care. When you see it in action, you realise why it works. Everyone involved enjoys it – which is why the initiatives within the partnership are so successful.”
