AFC brings in Visa as partner for club competitions
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced a new partnership with Visa, building on their partnership, which sees Visa become the Official Global Supporter of the AFC Champions League Elite, AFC Champions League Two and AFC Women’s Champions League between the 2026-2029 cycle. Visa, currently, already holds the role of an Official Global Supporter of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 and the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026.
The new partnership will see Visa serve as the Global Payment Services Partner for the AFC Champions League Elite, AFC Champions League Two and the AFC Women’s Champions League and provide benefits including preferred card acceptance at the AFC Champions League Elite Finals and access to ticket pre-sale for Visa cardholders including early access to tickets. The AFC and Visa will also work together on various fan engagement activities and initiatives including giving fans a chance to get access to the Official Coin Toss, exclusive stadium experiences and digital activations at select games.
Datuk Seri Windsor John, General Secretary, AFC, said,
“We are thrilled to expand our global partnership with Visa. As one of the world’s most trusted brands, Visa brings unparalleled payment expertise that will elevate convenience and security for football fans throughout Asia. This collaboration perfectly aligns with our Vision to deliver world-class club competitions and deepen our engagement with our fans, especially as we nurture the exciting growth of the AFC Club Competitions.”
