Ziggo to continue as Ajax’s shirt sponsor till 2025.
Dutch football side Ajax have announced the extension of the sponsorship deal with the country’s local cable TV provider Ziggo until 2025.
Ziggo, the club’s primary partner, signed a deal with the Dutch team back in 2015, which saw it become Ajax’s shirt sponsor in a €8m-a-year deal excluding bonuses. The deal was further extended for three years in 2019 and has now been extended once again.
Aside from being the primary shirt sponsor, Ziggo also serves as the main sponsor of Ajax’s esports division. Ziggo’s consumers get exclusive access to Ajax’s content through its media platforms, while Ziggo remains as the program producer for the club’s in-house network.
Menno Geele, Commercial Director, Ajax, commented:
“Ziggo has been on our shirt since 2015 and you can safely speak of a partnership that gets better and stronger every year. We are grateful to Ziggo for the support they have already given and for the confidence in our future.
“As we look back on ten years of main sponsorship in 2025, I’m sure we will look back with satisfaction on the sporting successes we shared and how our fans have benefited from this long-term partnership.”
Marcel de Groot, VodafoneZiggo’s Consumer Market Director, added:
“We are proud of the extension of our main sponsorship and see that the appeal of Ajax is only increasing. Ajax will therefore play a major role in our new customer program Priority, alongside other partners such as Ziggo Dome and MOJO We are very much looking forward to letting our customers experience the magic of Ajax, on an even bigger and better scale than before.”
