AlphaTauri announce Buzz Group partnership

Buzz Group, a multinational conglomerate based out of England, has announced a new partnership with AlphaTauri, joining the Italian F1 team as an Official Partner. The multi-year partnership will be focused on accelerating sustainable development projects and also support the young driver development initiative.

The partnership will see the Buzz logo feature on the AlphaTauri car starting from the 2022 British Grand Prix, with the branding present on the cockpit sides, inside of the rear wing end plates, headrests, racing suits, teamwear and also at various places of the AlphaTauri facility.

Speaking about the partnership, Franz Tost, Team Principal, Scuderia AlphaTauri, commented:

I am so happy to welcome Buzz and Daisuke back to our team. With active partnerships in different categories of motorsports, they are very focused on supporting young talent and hence are perfectly aligned with the ethos of Scuderia AlphaTauri. With their strong links to Japan, Buzz will help us to further grow our reputation in this specific local market. Their focus on a sustainable future is a great strategic fit for both the sport and our team, and we look forward to helping drive new conversations around this topic.

Yuki Tsunoda, driver, AlphaTauri, stated:

I am excited to have another Japanese partner on board, especially as we are set to return to Suzuka for the first time since 2019, which will also be my first F1 race at home.

Daisuke-San and Buzz are well known for their passion for racing and for working with promising young drivers, hence I am looking forward to cooperating with them throughout our team partnership.

Daisuke Hasegawa, Buzz Group CEO, added:

We believe that all businesses, including motorsports, must drive positive environmental change to ensure the longevity of the planet and the health and happiness of its inhabitants.

For Formula One to achieve net carbon neutrality by 2030, teams must separately and collectively contribute to this important goal. Scuderia AlphaTauri, with whom we enjoyed a previous partnership, is perfectly aligned in terms of the compatibility of motorsports and carbon neutrality, which makes them a perfect fit for Buzz. We are thrilled to realise this mission together.
