Indian cooperative dairy company Amul has been announced as an Official Partner of the Commonwealth Games 2026 after joining the Games one day prior to the start. Amul will also serve as a Presenting Partner in the Weightlifting, Para Powerlifting and Boxing competitions. Amul will promote their milk and dairy products through the partnership and will also serve as an Official Supporter of Commonwealth Sport.
The Glasgow 2026 or the Commonwealth Games 2026 is taking place between July 23, 2026 and August 2, 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. The Para Powerlifting competition will take place on 24 July, with Weightlifting running from 26-30 July and Boxing held from 24 July to 1 August.
The Indian contingent has sent a total of 191 athletes for the Commonwealth Games and has members competing in the Weightlifting, Para powerlifting and boxing categories. There are a total of 14 boxers across the men’s and women’s categories with the likes of Lovlina Borgohain, Jasmine Lamboria, Parveen Hooda and Sachin Siwach amongst others. There are seven athletes in the Para powerlifting categories including Suman Devi, Jaspreet Kaur and Kasthuri Rajamani. Amongst the 12 athletes in the weightlifting category, there are the likes of Mirabai Chanu, Dilbag Singh, Lovepreet Singh and Harjinder Kaur amongst others.
